Concept:
The historical mural painting and its conservation have been part of my main field of work for many years. Decisive for my mode of operation is my long-standing practical experience. I was able to build up and steady broaden my specialized knowledge in all areas of wall restoration since my employment 1992 in a restoration company and free cooperation on the following years with about 15 different diploma and technical college restorers. In addition I deepened my knowledge with further educations. The design variety of the mural painting in the contemporary context, the versatility of the materials and all sorts of historical painting techniques require a respectful and sensitive care during the restoration measures. My personal demand in the colour archaeological building research, preservation and restoration of the objects serves primarily the preservation of the historical paintings. The often desired addition or reconstruction of historical mural painting is weighed out after the specific needs and features of the object and excludes generally the over-setting of the original painting substance. |

Realisation:
buildings require a well-organized cooperation with colleagues, specialists and helpers. Then e.g. stucco plasterer or wood- and stone restorers are included in the orders if it requires the object.
Preparation work and first coats I transfer to quality tested painting companies, quality proved by several lately cooperation’s, they are also able to go into detail of the special requirements of the restoration.
So historical colors are taken into account in the NCS colour system (1,950 different colours) and material specifications in the historical prescription. The strategy is based on close cooperation with the building site supervision, the owner of the respective object and - at high-quality objects - with the administrative office of preservation of historical monuments.
Because of our flexibility the manning level can be lined up to the circumstances - dependence to the object size and time frames. I generally put challenging parts of the restorations or paintings into practice myself.
Due to the variety of the painting execution in the technology and the dependence of the work size of the destruction degree of the original substance, a detailed cost calculation is made for every offer. It refers to the predictable time exposure and often can´t be indicated in regular meter or square meter fixed prices. Exceptions are form full-faced stencil ornaments, friezes in the report or exposures, which can be assessed after construction of a test area. The offers are so itemized that they are comprehensible easily for the customer. In addition, there is the possibility of engaging single working parts, if necessary. |
